Position Summary:
Support the department objective of Clinical Engineering. Perform repair, modification, preventive maintenance, safety testing, installation, and evaluation of biomedical and other patient care equipment.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in Biomedical or Electronic Engineering/Technology or related field.
- Two years of electronic or biomedical equipment maintenance or related experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis.
- Department of Defense Biomedical Equipment Technician program is preferred.
- A completed formal biomedical internship or externship program that requires 300 training hours is preferred.
- Biomedical equipment experience is preferred. Requires working knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Valid State of Florida driver's license or ability to obtain if out-of-state resident
